Installation Procedures for Brushes:
- Remove brush caps from the motor.
- Remove the old brushes from the motor.
- Place the brush into the holder so that the curvature of the brush is pointing in the same direction as the rotation of the commutator. Do this for each brush.
- Replace the brush caps. The caps should be torques 4±2 in-lbs.
- Run in the brushes for at least one hour before returning the motor to operation.
